Salieces in Roy Conboy's Dancing with the Missing and Lady Macduff in Macbeth. Ms. Garcia is also a poet and playwright and her play Portrait of Ten Women which tells the triumphant lives of women living with HIV/AIDS was commissioned by East L.A. Rep.
Jesus A. Reyes, Artistic Director

Recently worked as Assistant Director for Electricidad by Luis Alfaro at the Mark Taper Forum. Directing credits include, Real Women Have Curves, The True Story of Coca Cola in Mexico, and The House on Mango Street for Teatro Vision (San Jose), The Bandersnatch for Playground (San Francisco), The Spirit of Hispania for The Western Stage (Salinas), Dear Diary and The Car Plays as guest director at Cal State Los Angeles. Acting credits include, Maciel in Guera for The Latino Theatre Initiative and The Strasberg Group, Miguel Cruz in Harvest Moon, Barnaby Tucker in The Matchmaker at San Jose Rep, Julius in East of Eden at The Western Stage, Ruy in Man of the Moment at Center Rep (Walnut Creek), and member of Red Ladder Theatre Company.
Juan E. Carrillo, Associate Artist

Recent productions include
14, Donde Estan? Where Are They?, The House on Mango Street, Malvolio in Twelfth Night, General Ouch in The Wizard of Aztlan, Macbeth in Macbeth and Papi Cuero in Princess Pocha Diaries and other fables by Roxanna E. Sanchez. Graduated Cum Laude from Cal State, Northridge with a B. A. in Political Science. While working at CHIRLA, he formed a troup of day laborer theatre group that performed in San Francisco and New York. Last year, he directed his first play, Portrait of Ten Women by Fanny Garcia, which chronicled the triumphs of Latinas living with HIV/AIDS.
Roxanna E. Sanchez, Resident Playwright

Roxanna E. Sanchez holds a B.A. in theatre with an emphasis in acting and directing, an M.A. degree in Theatre, and an MS degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Rehabilitation Counseling all from California State, University Los Angeles. Other works Roxanna has written are her one-person shows,
Dream, Recipes, and the Misadventures of an Aztec Goddess (2001) produced for the John Lion New Play Festival . Girl Friday/Mi Vida (1999) produced for the Arena New Works Festival, and her one-act play Riding Low, Driving Slow, Mi Vida (2002) produced for the John Lion New Play Festival and subsequent staged reading by East L.A. Rep. at Rock Rose Cafe and Gallery. Her most recent work Donde Estan?/Where Are They? depicts the plight of the women of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico,  was produced by EAST LA REP in 2005.
Mercedes Castro, Associate Artist

Mercedes a.k.a. Mercy has had a fascination with all things creative. Recently she has worked with East Los Angeles College's children's theater. She has starred in An Evening with Shakespeare, The Confession and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and was Assistant Director in Our Town. With East L.A. Rep, she has been in Macbeth, Twelfth Night, Dancing with the Missing and Portrait of Ten Women. She is a cosmetology school graduate and is currently a student at East Los Angeles College. Her work as hair, make-up and wardrobe designer has been seen in How I learned to Drive and R.U.R.
